This Creamsicle Orange Fluff is a light, creamy, and citrusy dessert inspired by the classic orange-and-vanilla creamsicle. It comes together with just a few ingredients and is perfect for potlucks, holidays, or a quick no-bake treat.
Ingredients
- 1 box (3 oz) orange gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- ½ cup cold water
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
- 1 can (11 oz) mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- ½ cup vanilla pudding mix
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: orange zest for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Orange Gelatin
Place the orange gelatin in a large mixing bowl. Pour in the boiling water and whisk until the gelatin has completely dissolved.
Add the cold water and stir well.
2. Make It Creamy
In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Gradually add the orange gelatin mixture, mixing until everything is well combined and creamy.
Add the vanilla pudding mix and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
3. Fold in the Fluff
Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
Add the drained mandarin oranges and mini marshmallows. Fold gently so the oranges don’t break apart.
4. Chill
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours, or until the mixture is completely chilled and set.
For the best texture, you can refrigerate it overnight.
5. Serve
Spoon the orange fluff into individual dessert cups or serve it directly from the bowl.
Garnish with a few mandarin orange pieces, a little orange zest, or a small dollop of whipped topping.
Tips
- Make sure the cream cheese is softened before mixing to prevent lumps.
- Drain the mandarin oranges thoroughly so the fluff doesn’t become watery.
- Don’t overmix after adding the whipped topping and oranges.
- For an extra creamsicle flavor, add a little more vanilla extract.
- Keep the dessert refrigerated until ready to serve.
